Orange Pineapple Frozen Yogurt

My daughter gave me a Cuisinart Frozen Yogurt-Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker for my birthday, and I've been having a blast with it.  The nice thing about making my own ice cream and frozen yogurt is I can make sure the ingredients are  healthy.

My latest creation is Orange Pineapple Frozen Yogurt.  Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups cold Chobani Greek yogurt
  • 2 tsp. SweetLeaf Stevia sweetener
  • 2 tbsp. orange juice
  • 2 tsp. raw organic honey
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 orange, peeled
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • pinch of salt
Directions:
  1. Add orange and pineapple to food processor; process for about 30 seconds. Add Stevia sweetener, honey and vanilla; mix for about 10 more seconds.
  2. Whisk remaining ingredients together in a bowl, then stir in orange/pineapple mixture.
  3. Churn in an electric ice cream maker for 20 minutes.
  4. Freeze for 1 hour before serving.
This tastes awesome sprinkled with shredded coconut.    Enjoy!

I enjoy making my own ice-cream, sorbet, and frozen yogurt for exactly the reason you stated - I have complete control over the ingredients. the fact that it tastes better than store bought is an added bonus. :) Thanks for sharing your recipe with the Hearth and Soul Hop.
