Easy Apple Pie



Ingredients:

Filling:
  • 10 medium apples, peeled and sliced 
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice  
Crust:
  • 1 box Pillsbury® refrigerated pie crust, softened as directed on box
Directions:
  1. Heat oven to 425°F. Place 1 pie crust in 9-inch glass pie plate, pressing firmly against side and bottom.
  2. In large bowl, mix filling ingredients, then spoon into crust-lined pie plate. Top with second crust. Wrap excess top crust under bottom crust edge, pressing edges together to seal; flute. Cut slits or shapes in several places in top crust.  Cover edge of crust with 2- to 3-inch wide strips of foil.
  3. Bake 35 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 5-10 minutes, until crust is golden brown.
